The article brings up the Arab spring and how much has changed in the past ten years. Back then, it seemed like it was fair to call the popular movements Twitter revolutions. The tech is still around, but governments, economic conditions on the ground, and other factors have led to more instability + corruption.

Convincing arguments on both sides, but I think there's a bit too much substituting Facebook, Twitter, etc. for technology. What do you guys think?
