I like most of the Crooked Media ones (Pod Save the World for FP, Lovett or Leave It for fun), Stay Tuned with Preet, Made in America with Bassem Youssef, The Indicator from Planet Money (NPR’s daily 10 min or less econ podcast, great if you’re time limited), and Radio Hour and Politics and More from the New Yorker. More on the infotainment side, I’m also a fan of the Jim Jefferies Show podcast. Would love some good recs—what are some of your favs?

I keep meaning to listen to The Energy Gang because it's one of the few smart energy podcasts. But it feels like taking work home with me in a way. Also it's put out by a competitor of my company. So mostly I stick to comedy and educational stuff that's not in my working wheelhouse (Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, Lexicon Valley, 99% Invisible, stuff like that).

I tend to mostly listen to history, sports and entertainment podcasts, less FP and politics. By category:

History -slow burn, crimetown was really interesting, hardcore history

Sports! guardian football weekly, the warm up, the lab, some ringer podcasts, zach lowe, hang up and listen, etc.

FP and Politics: Daily, PSTW, 538 politics, new yorker radio hour has been great on all the russia stuff.

Great suggestions--I've been meaning to listen to some of these but keep putting it off.

Kerning Cultures is thoughtful and worth checking out--it features narratives about the Middle East.
